Poem XVIII – When in Doubt

Thank you father, for another glorious day.

When in doubt I am grateful for the crimson sunrise behind the clouds as an auspicious beginning is presented today within a dream of tomorrow.

Thank you father, for the journey of life.

When in doubt I am grateful you shall accompany me within the wind flowing wild and free above the ashes floating underneath the sea of fire surrounding the strange days.

Thank you father, for the ability to love.

When in doubt I am grateful that love remains in the emptiness that once filled my heart and peace and pain no longer battle for space in a place that once held darkness.

Thank you father, for passion.

When in doubt I am grateful for the courage to follow the light that shines each time I question who I am and take another stand in another day and another rain.

When in doubt I am grateful I can feel who I am in replacement of who I fear.

When in doubt I am who I choose to be.
